ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:

  • Serves as an ongoing resource, and strategist for EHR management within the organization
  • Supports all EHR requests through service desk tickets, phone, meetings, and in person
  • Ensures EHR is configured and utilized consistently to support quality reporting, dashboards and documentation mechanisms that allow for consistent collection of quality organizational data
  • Resolves and troubleshoots encountered problems and provides daily operational program assistance
  • Develops new data tracking templates and models, and training/instructing users how to utilize in their existing workflows
  • Performs ongoing random and periodic system validation testing and compliance checks as needed for audit compliance, internal compliance, etc.
  • Supports data modeling concepts, designs, and efforts as it may pertain to agency EHR or related EHR systems
  • Provides support to all programs and departments in their effective utilization of the agency EHR and related systems to the EHR (mobile app, client/parent portals, etc.)
  • Provides on-site guidance and instruction for EHR users and works closely with Professional Development in developing training documentation and material
  • Acts as the primary train-the-trainer for EHR system and works closely with Professional Development team
  • Acts as a liaison between agency and EHR support team to troubleshoot issues, request enhancement and new features
  • Supports staff through training, documentation, and problem resolution
  • Maintains confidentially, privacy, and security requirements
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
  • Work with team members for any new system development, training, trouble-shooting, and release changes that occur with respect to EHR
  • Regularly attend and participate in meetings internal and external to the agency as they may pertain to the EHR
  • Performs Ad hoc reporting and projects as required
  • Any other assignments as requested by Hillsides management

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret manuals and office documents
  • Provide continuous updates to the Director of Data Services related to EHR projects, issues, and goals
  • Effective oral and written communications skills sufficient to write comprehensive reports and policies, study and interpret contract documents.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Visit and support remote sites and users as needed
  • Produce technical documentation
  • Provide day-to-day support to data services team, external partners, and staff as required
  • Actively participate in county and industry workgroups and annual conferences

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly work indoors in a variety of environments and locations
  • Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

  • Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in behavioral/mental health industry with knowledge of clinical workflows, theories, principles and practices
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, or related spreadsheet applications, ability
  • Experience in project management, workflow analysis and requirements gathering
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation (forms, progress notes, treatment plans, etc)
  • Strong understanding of basic PC and common software resolution strategies
  • Experience working with a diverse population
  • Experience within Healthcare, EHR environment, and general help desk software operations
  • High degree of accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask on projects and daily tasks while maintaining top level customer support
  • Ability to successfully prioritize, work efficiently and productively in an independent manner
  • Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Valid California Driver's License, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
