Quality Assurance Specialist (47)

The essential functions include:

  •  Assist QA Director, QA Clinical Manager, and QA Coordinator in monitoring  and tracking documentation of Hillsides regulatory bodies 
  •  Oversight of progress note, clinical note review and approval within designated programming 
  •  Problem solve documentation compliance issues with QA Staff 
  •  Assist QA Clinical Manager in overseeing the coordination of progress note review to comply 90 days after clinical supervisor review. 
  •  Assist QA Department in maintaining compliance with regulations regarding the governing bodies of Community Care Licensing (Title 22), Counsel on Accreditation (COA), Medi-Cal Certification, Licensure, Accreditation and contract compliance
  •  Attend DMH, DCFS, WASC, COA, meetings assigned. 
  •  Assist in Welligent Activities
  •  Prepare and submit detailed reports as needed 
  •  Participate in audit preparation
  •  Provide on going communication with staff regarding documentation
  •  Provide support during chart reviews as needed 
  •  Tracks quality control issues in appropriate computer database(s)
  •  Attend staff quality assurance meetings
  •  Participate in special projects as  needed
  •  Prepare for meetings and record meeting minutes as needed
  •  Copy documents as needed
  •  Relieve front desk receptionist as needed
  •  Participate in special projects
  •  Other duties as  needed 


  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 4 years office/secretarial experience Experience with DMH & Medi-Cal documentation preferred
  • Valid California drivers license and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
