ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:

  • Provide supervision to QA Associates and QA Assistant Coordinator

  • Assist QA Director in maintaining compliance with regulations regarding the governing bodies of Community Care Licensing (Title 22), Hillsides, Counsel on Accreditation (COA), Medi-Cal Certification, Licensure, Accreditations and contract compliance

  • Collaborate with agency leadership in setting protocols and procedures related to quality assurance and compliance

  • Assist in the oversight, customization and monitoring of all activities related to Welligent
  • Assist QA Director for overseeing the implementation and coordination of all aspects of Department of Mental Health (DMH), Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), Licensing, Out of Home Care and any other funding sources andcompliance with all regulations
  • Interface with outside agencies to maintain current procedures, involvement in and coordination of audits performed by regulatory agencies
  • Maintain robust knowledge base on compliance related to clinical documentation standards and their corresponding contracts. This will require active participation in clinical trainings offered within the agency or externally
  • Ensure QA staff comply with the legal mandates of HIPAA regarding client confidentiality and release of information
  • Attend staff quality assurance meetings
  • Participate in special projects
  • Other duties as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

  • BA degree from an accredited or state approved program with degree in social work, psychology or related mental health/human services field
  • Five plus years experience with EPSDT related documentation and Short Doyle Medi-Cal
  • Knowledgeable of the prevailing governmental laws and regulations regarding the provision of mental health services, including confidentiality and limits thereof, the reporting of child abuse/neglect, and related regulations

  • Knowledgeable of and acts in accordance with Ethical and Professional Standards established by appropriate professional organizations, whether or not the individual is a member of any such organization

  • Must have skills necessary to engage and work with others from diverse backgrounds
  • Able to maintain a non-judgmental attitude toward youth and families
  • Valid California driver's license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier

PQI STATEMENT

Every employee has the opportunity and responsibility to participate in one or more activities each year that support the performance quality improvement (PQI) of Hillsides' programs & services.
