Starting Salary Range: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour (depending on experience)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able

Advancement:
- Provide
support to the Special Events Manager assisting with all aspects of special
events as assigned
- Oversight
of auction procurement - mailings, database management, and
acknowledgements
- Arrange
for meetings including meeting packets, refreshments, room reservations
and set-up/clean-up
- Assist
program managers with their special needs such as gathering banners,
promotional items, collateral
- Provide
support for special events held on evenings and weekends as necessary.
- Assist
the Director of Communications and Marketing as needed
- Provide
support for graphic design projects, including printing, cutting, and
assembling materials.
- Assist
the Database Manager as needed
- Serve
as department historian for staff meetings
- Provide
clerical support
- Run
office errands as needed
- Other
duties as required
Community Resources:
- Provide support to the Director
of Community Resources assisting with all areas of the department
including volunteer coordination, events, donations, and acknowledgements
- Maintain
up-to-date records and database on all volunteers and community service
groups
- Serve
as liaison with volunteers and community groups, supporting the Director
with onboarding (application processing, training, scheduling, and
oversight).
- Maintain
volunteer hours across ALL volunteers.
- Prepare
for and attend monthly enrichment activity events with the clients which
take place at least one Saturday and three evenings each month.
- Coordinate
disbursement of all in-kind items across all agency programs
- Keep
donation and supply storage areas organized and tidy
- Maintain in-kind donation log via
Microsoft Teams and submit in-kind forms to our Donor Database Manager in
a timely manner.
- Coordinate the Holiday
Donation Drive, including Adopt-a-Family and program wish lists.
- Represent the Community
Resources Department at a variety of events, for example, by serving on
internal Hillsides committees, attending community service fairs and
events, or presenting at donor meetings.
- Take
photographs at volunteer events and activities and organize and upload them
to the designated area within Teams.
- Other
duties as required
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
& CERTIFICATES
- BA/BS degree and two years
of work experience in related field
- Outstanding written and
oral communications abilities
- Project management
experience
- Experience working closely
and collaboratively with volunteers
- General understanding of
key areas of fundraising and agency operations
- Valid California drivers
license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to
Hillsides' insurance carrier
