Starting Salary Range$90,000 - $110,282/year (depending on experience, education, and/or bilingual status)
Work Location: Pasadena, CA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:

  • Assist Chief Compliance Officer in maintaining compliance with regulations regarding the governing bodies of Community Care Licensing (Title 22), Hillsides, Counsel on Accreditation (COA), Medi-Cal Certification, Licensure, Accreditations and contract compliance
  • Collaborate with agency leadership in setting protocols and procedures related to compliance
  • Assists with leading agency compliance process and investigations
  • Reviews client records as needed to prepare for compliance investigations/meetings
  • Monitors compliance critical incident trends
  • Leads grand rounds meetings with programs, ensures any necessary follow-up occurs, and monitors the overall process  
  • Develops and leads Compliance Site Council meeting across the agency
  • Updates and develops trainings, policies and procedures as needed based on trends and themes from Grand Rounds, Compliance Site Council, Compliance investigations, etc.
  • Assists with monitoring agency Compliance hotline/email address and follows up with client, family, and staff concerns
  • Assists with revising agency Compliance Plan annually
  • Assists with conducting analysis of laws, regulations, and contract trends to determine potential impact and to ensure agency compliance
  • Keep abreast of compliance rules and regulations
  • Leads compliance meetings
  • Participate in special projects
  • Other duties as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

  • Master's degree from an accredited or state approved program degree in social work, psychology or related mental health/human services field, license required
  • Three plus years of compliance experience
  • Knowledgeable of the prevailing governmental laws and regulations regarding the provision of mental health services, including confidentiality and limits thereof, the reporting of child abuse/neglect, and related regulations
  • Knowledgeable of and acts in accordance with Ethical and Professional Standards established by appropriate professional organizations, whether or not the individual is a member of any such organization
  • Must have skills necessary to engage and work with others from diverse backgrounds
  • Able to maintain a non-judgmental attitude toward youth and families
  • Valid California driver's license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
