Starting Salary Range: $18.04 to $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:
- Provide 24/7 direct supervision and support to Non-Minor Dependents (NMDs) in a safe, trauma-informed, and nurturing residential environment.
- Implement individualized care plans and routines as designed by clinical and program staff, ensuring consistency and structure.
- Coach and support NMDs in developing and maintaining daily living skills such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, money management, and time management.
- Support the nursing department with tasks related to clients ongoing medical care including providing support for daily living skills, information needed for medical charting and other relevant tasks.
- Facilitate and participate in structured recreational, educational, and social activities designed to promote positive peer interactions and personal growth.
- Help youth acquire socially appropriate behaviors and interpersonal skills through role modeling, encouragement, and consistent reinforcement.
- Assist residents in identifying and achieving personal goals related to independence, education, employment, and emotional wellness.
- Engage residents in meaningful conversation and group discussions during meals, activities, and downtime to build rapport and support development.
- Monitor residents' emotional and behavioral needs, respond appropriately to crisis situations, and maintain documentation in accordance with agency protocols.
- Utilize positive behavior support techniques and appropriate disciplinary interventions to encourage accountability and self-regulation.
- Collaborate as an active member of the treatment team in the development and review of TILP and NSPs.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation of observations, incidents, and progress in case records and daily logs.
- Promote a clean, safe, and home-like cottage environment by guiding residents in housekeeping tasks and ensuring facility cleanliness is maintained.
- Transport residents to appointments, activities, and outings as needed using agency vehicles.
- Participate in regular staff trainings, supervision, and team meetings to support continuous learning and program improvement.
- Demonstrate professionalism, cultural humility, and emotional maturity in interactions with youth, coworkers, and external stakeholders.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES
- High School Diploma required
- AA (60 units) or Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience in direct care and/or previous training in de-escalation, daily living supports and/or neurodevelopmental strategies
- Valid California driver's license
- Have and maintain an acceptable driving record, subject to periodic review
- Must provide proof of personal auto insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
