Starting Salary Range: $31.00 to $35.00 per hour (based on experience)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:
- Serve as an ongoing resource, and strategist for EHR management within the organization
- Provide technical support to users experiencing application issues, requesting updates/modifications, and/or have questions on how to utilize the EHR application and/or related systems
- Provide recommendations on how to best utilize the EHR application and/or related systems to support stakeholders' needs while considering impact on existing workflows and/or dependencies
- Monitor and stay up to date on the EHR application and/or related system releases/enhancements to ensure the organization is using functionality that best meets its workflow needs; workflows are not negatively impacted by upcoming updates; and effective technical support can be provided
- Gather requirements pertaining to EHR needs and implements solutions, ensuring fidelity to specifications
- Generate, maintain, and communicate documentation on EHR usage to support the effective and consistent utilization of the application and related systems across users and functions, inclusive of, but not limited to, guides, tutorials, policies, and procedures
- Support with the development and maintenance of data quality rules and processes for identifying and rectifying nonconformance to said rules
- Generate, maintain, and monitor compliance with policies and procedures pertaining to the security of the EHR and related systems inclusive of regularly auditing user accounts and logs, and maintaining access controls per organizational requirements
- Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of EHR changes and solutions, including analyzing needs, designing technical approaches, developing communication and training materials, and addressing potential workflow impacts
- Provide on-site guidance and instruction to EHR users and work closely with the Department of Professional Development in developing training documentation and materials
- Act as the primary train-the-trainer for the EHR application and related systems, and work closely with the Department of Professional Development
- Act as a liaison between the organization and EHR support teams to troubleshoot issues, request enhancements, and new features, inclusive of attending and actively participating in meetings with vendors to convey and promote the organization's needs
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
- Supports data modeling concepts, designs, and efforts as it may pertain to agency EHR or related EHR systems
- Attend and participate regularly in meetings, internal and external to the agency, as they may pertain to the EHR
- Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and security requirements
- Any other assignments as requested by Hillsides management
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES
- Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in behavioral/mental health industry with knowledge of clinical workflows, theories, principles and practices
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, or related spreadsheet applications, ability
- Experience in project management, workflow/process analysis, requirements gathering, providing technical support, and EHR systems
- Knowledge of clinical documentation (forms, progress notes, treatment plans, etc)
- Strong understanding of basic PC and common software resolution strategies
- Experience working with a diverse population
- Experience within Healthcare, EHR environment, and general help desk software operations
- High degree of accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask on projects and daily tasks while maintaining top level customer support
- Ability to successfully prioritize, work efficiently and productively in an independent manner
- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Valid California Driver's License, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
