ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:
- Provide flexible, MHRS coverage across all DTI sites to support higher census cohorts, acuity needs, and staffing gaps, ensuring continuity of care and program stability.
- Facilitate and co-facilitate therapeutic, skills-based, and psychoeducational groups across DTI programs as assigned, with the ability to step in on short notice to maintain group schedules.
- Deliver targeted MHRS and case management support for individuals or cohorts requiring additional intervention, stabilization, or follow-up beyond routine programming.
- Support all DTI sites with timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation, including daily progress notes, group notes, and linkage documentation in alignment with Medi-Cal and contract requirements.
- Provide structured mental health rehabilitation and skill-building services to DTI clients, including individual and group-based interventions focused on symptom management, coping skills, emotional regulation, social skills, and daily functioning, in accordance with the client's treatment plan.
- Facilitate and document rehabilitative group activities and therapeutic milieu interventions during scheduled DTI program hours, ensuring active engagement and client presence requirements are met.
- Deliver collateral and rehabilitative services as appropriate, including coordination with families, caregivers, schools, and community supports to reinforce skill generalization and community reintegration.
- Provide targeted case management and service coordination support under clinical direction, including assistance with discharge planning, linkage to community resources, and collaboration with referral sources and allied agencies.
- Support crisis prevention, early intervention, and de-escalation within the DTI milieu, including crisis communication, observation, risk notification to therapist/program manager, and timely documentation in accordance with established crisis protocols.
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff, psychiatry, and other interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care and reinforce treatment goals across service components.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation for all services provided, meeting DMH, Medi-Cal, and agency billing and productivity standards, including progress notes, group documentation, and collateral contacts.
- Participate in weekly treatment team meetings, supervision, and case consultations to support treatment planning, progress monitoring, and service coordination.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and compliance with applicable federal, state, and county regulations governing mental health services, including confidentiality, mandated reporting requirements, and documentation standards.
- Act in accordance with ethical and professional standards established by relevant professional organizations and Hillsides policies and procedures.
- Attend and actively participate in required program and agency meetings, including staff meetings, clinical conferences, in-service trainings, and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain flexibility in work schedule, including availability for evenings as needed to meet program and client needs.
- Maintain the ability to safely transport clients or travel for service delivery, collateral contacts, or community-based activities as required.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Therapists, and site-based staff to identify coverage needs, emerging clinical concerns, and documentation gaps requiring immediate support.
- Maintain consistent communication with site leadership to support smooth transitions, continuity of care, and adherence to program expectations across all locations.
- Available after hours for crisis support.
- Provide mental health rehabilitation services to outpatient clients within Family Resource Centers as needed when DTI census is low.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the effective operation of the DTI program.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 4 years' experience working with child welfare, residential or day treatment facilities, or with SED children/adolescents/adults and/or other experience working with mental health clients in a related capacity
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Valid California drivers license, clean driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
