Tuesday through Saturday, 10:30 pm-6:30 am
Starting Salary Range: $71,500 - 73,500 (based on experience)
Cottage Supervisor Stipend: $2,600 per year (In addition to the salary, the position is eligible for the stipend)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:
- Provide leadership and oversight of the entire overnight shift across campus, ensuring adequate staffing, safety, security, and consistent quality of care for all clients in the STRTP, THPP-NMD, and HillsidesCares programs.
- Directly supervise all overnight staff including Overnight Facility Managers, Overnight Cottage Counselors, Overnight Floating Cottage Counselors, and on-call overnight personnel. Responsibilities include hiring, onboarding, training, supervision, evaluation, corrective action, and termination.
- Monitor and evaluate overnight supervision practices, including head counts, room checks, client accountability procedures, and campus safety protocols. Identify vulnerabilities, compliance concerns, or operational risks and implement corrective action to ensure client safety, program integrity, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure overnight staff receive required rest breaks in accordance with agency policy and applicable labor laws while maintaining adequate staffing levels, client supervision, and program coverage.
- Maintain open communication with Cottage Supervisors, Clinical Leadership, and Program Services staff to support client and staff needs arising during the overnight hours.
- Coordinate with clinical and residential staff to ensure the therapeutic milieu is upheld overnight, and support the interpretation and implementation of treatment plans, transitions, intakes, and discharges as needed.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to promote consistency in program operations, supervision practices, policy implementation, treatment approaches, and service delivery across residential programs.
- Conduct regular overnight team meetings and attend agency-wide meetings to contribute to planning and alignment across departments.
- Prepare and monitor overnight schedules and collaborate with Campus Support and day-shift supervisors to address scheduling gaps, coverage needs, and ratio compliance.
- Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing (CCL) standards and agency policies related to client care, supervision, documentation, and incident response.
- Provide direct operational and client care support as needed, including assuming direct care responsibilities, being on-call to cover vacant shifts, responding to staffing emergencies, and ensuring continuous supervision and care during periods of staffing shortages.
- Serve as the senior leader on-site during overnight hours, coordinating and responding to client crises and emergency situations.
- Liaise with local emergency services (e.g., law enforcement, paramedics, fire department) when needed during overnight incidents, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
- Oversee overnight campus safety protocols and participate in emergency response coordination during events such as fires, lockdowns, medical crises, or natural disasters.
- Monitor staff performance and ensure overnight staff adhere to trauma-informed practices, Pro-ACT de-escalation techniques, agency policies, licensing requirements, client supervision expectations, and all relevant safety and security procedures.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of overnight operations to identify risks related to client supervision, staffing, safety, security, and regulatory compliance, and implement corrective measures to address identified concerns.
- When necessary coach and support NMDs in developing and maintaining daily living skills such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, money management, and time management.
- When necessary support the nursing department with tasks related to clients ongoing medical care including providing support for daily living skills,
- Be available by phone or in person to provide consultation and support to overnight staff in the event of emergencies, crises, or coverage issues.
- Other duties as required
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two years' experience in Residential Treatment
- One year experience working during an overnight shift period
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs and dynamics of children
- Valid California driver's license, driving record, and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
