Starting Salary Range: $18.04 -21.00 per hour (based on experience)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:

• Read the daily job orders and perform repair work as needed
• Maintain and be accountable for the tools used
• Organize and clean-up of work areas and proper storage of tools and equipment
• Replace broken windows, fix holes in walls, and replace or repair doors and painting
• Have a rudimentary knowledge of plumbing and be able to replace faucet washers, fix leaks, unclog drains and replace pipes
• Make notes of any repairs or replacement needed and follow proper procedures for getting the work done
• Basic mechanical and vehicle maintenance knowledge
• Keep the Maintenance Supervisor informed of daily work activities and follow instructions
• Work as a team member in improving service delivery
• Other duties as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1-year previous experience in a maintenance capacity.
• HVAC Certified, preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
• Knowledge of safe & proper use of tools.
• Valid California driver's license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier.
