Job Type: Temporary Full-Time, Non-exempt Opportunity
Starting Salary Range: $18.04 -21.00 per hour (based on experience)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Other duties may be assigned.

The essential functions include:

• Read the daily job orders and perform repair work as needed
• Maintain and be accountable for the tools used
• Organize and clean up work areas and properly store tools and equipment
• Replace broken windows, fix holes in walls, replace or repair doors, and paint
• Have a rudimentary knowledge of plumbing and be able to replace faucet washers, fix leaks, unclog drains, and replace pipes
• Make notes of any repairs or replacements needed and follow proper procedures for getting the work done
• Basic mechanical and vehicle maintenance knowledge
• Keep the Maintenance Supervisor informed of daily work activities and follow instructions
• Work as a team member in improving service delivery
• Other duties as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1-year previous experience in a maintenance capacity.
• HVAC Certified, preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
• Knowledge of safe & proper use of tools.
• Valid California driver's license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier.
