Starting Salary Range: $71,500 - 80,500

  • Therapist BBS $71,500
  • Therapist BBS plus Bilingual $ 75,500
  • Therapist BBS, Bilingual, plus Licensed $ 80,500

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.

The essential functions include:

  • Complete ongoing intake study in preparation for placement, discharge and discharge planning, in cooperation with cottage/unit staff
  • Formulate and implement overall treatment plan for each client in their caseload
  • Provide intensive individualized services as indicated in client's treatment plan.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions to take place multiple times each week, family therapy sessions each week, and multiple group therapy sessions weekly.
  • Engage in crisis response protocols, including monitoring client risk, engaging in timely risk assessments, and ensuring thorough documentation of risk and crisis response
  • Involved in social skills training for each client
  • Meet regularly with cottage/unit staff at staff meetings, unit meetings and informally
  • Collaborate with residential treatment team and each client's child and family team to participate in permanency planning
  • Take part in selective client activities in the cottage/unit and maintain awareness of group interaction in the unit
  • Meet regularly with each client, on an individual or other basis, for rehabilitation purposes
  • Coordinate with team members to provide case-management and linkage services to clients and their family members
  • Coordinate visiting plans for clients with the treatment team
  • Maintain contact with referring agencies
  • Maintain contact and working relationships with school personnel and monitor client's academic and behavioral functioning
  • Evaluate progress and make recommendations as necessary
  • Serve on agency committees and participate in general and staff meetings
  • Maintain and complete all required case records and forms
  • Write progress notes in a timely manner and regularly meet productivity standard for billing
  • Keep the Director, Treatment Services informed of overall group climate and specific problem situations as necessary
  • Participate in Residential Therapist meetings and group supervision
  • Other duties as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

  • Master's degree in social work or marriage/family therapy
  • License, waiver and/or registration with California Board of Behavioral Sciences
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Valid California driver's license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
