Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
Starting Salary Range: $71,500 - 73,500 (based on experience)
Cottage Supervisor Stipend: $2,600 per year (In addition to the salary, the position is eligible for the stipend)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:
- Direct supervision of all Child Care Counselors assigned to the cottage, including recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and professional development.
- Coordinate daily cottage routines and maintain a structured, therapeutic environment that promotes safety, treatment goals, and healthy development for each client.
- Oversee daily cottage operations, including cleanliness, organization, supplies, and compliance with agency policies, licensing regulations, and program standards.
- Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all clients by implementing safety protocols, responding to crises, and maintaining appropriate levels of supervision consistent with each client's treatment needs.
- Support clients in developing age-appropriate life skills, emotional regulation, healthy relationships, independent living skills when appropriate, and other treatment goals identified by the interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, facilitators, case managers, educators, and other members of the Child and Family Team to ensure alignment with treatment goals, safety plans, permanency planning, and individualized treatment objectives.
- Facilitate regular cottage team meetings, shift change communication, case consultations, and ongoing training to promote consistent implementation of treatment interventions and program expectations.
- Manage cottage schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels and coverage in coordination with other supervisors, facility managers, and campus leadership.
- Respond to emergencies, conduct incident triage, coordinate crisis response efforts, and communicate with internal leadership and external emergency responders as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring completion of required reports, incident documentation, shift communication logs, licensing documentation, and other agency records.
- Oversee client admissions, transitions, and discharges in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team, ensuring completion of required documentation, inventory of belongings, orientation, and continuity of care.
- Ensure staff appropriately supervise family visits, community activities, appointments, and other client interactions in accordance with treatment plans, safety plans, court orders, licensing requirements, and program expectations.
- Serve as the designated On-Call Manager on an assigned schedule, providing after-hours consultation, leadership, and operational support for emergencies, client crises, staffing concerns, and other situations requiring supervisory oversight.
- Maintain reasonable availability outside of regularly scheduled work hours to respond to emergencies and staffing needs. Responsibilities may include coordinating staffing coverage and, when operationally necessary, reporting to work to ensure the continued safe operation of the program and compliance with staffing requirements.
- Support compliance with all applicable agency policies, Community Care Licensing regulations, STRTP Interim Licensing Standards, accreditation requirements, contractual obligations, and other regulatory requirements through oversight of cottage operations, documentation, and staff practices.
- Complete and maintain all required certifications, including Group Home Administrator and/or STRTP Administrator certification, as assigned, and ensure ongoing compliance with required training and continuing education requirements.
- Protect and promote the personal rights, dignity, safety, and well-being of each client while fostering a therapeutic, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and healing-centered cottage environment.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and oversight to staff in implementing therapeutic interventions, behavior support strategies, crisis intervention techniques, and relationship-based care consistent with each client's individualized treatment plan.
- Support the nursing department in coordinating clients' ongoing medical care, including communicating relevant health information, supporting medical documentation as needed, and ensuring staff follows medical protocols and physician orders as appropriate.
- Participate in agency committees, leadership meetings, trainings, quality improvement initiatives, and program planning activities to support continuous improvement and organizational goals.
- Monitor cottage operations through regular observation, documentation review, coaching, and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with agency standards, licensing requirements, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professional growth, and continuous improvement through regular coaching, mentoring, recognition, and performance feedback for assigned staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two years' experience in Residential Treatment preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs and dynamics of children
- Ability to supervise staff and provide leadership
- Valid California driver's license, driving record, and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
