Starting Salary Range: $32.69 - $36.06 per hour (based on bilingual status and/or experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:

  • Review or make Accounts Payable entries in the general ledger
  • Review monthly entry for credit card/p-card transactions
  • Accounts receivable reconciliation for HillsidesCares program
  • Complete remote check deposits for check payments received and prepare daily cash report of deposits and disbursements for cash accounts.
  • Analyze and reconcile balance sheets accounts
  • Prepare month-end closing schedules and month-end journal entries
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government license and registration renewals
  • Support grant applications and reporting processes to federal and non-federal grants
  • Provide support to other Finance department team members
  • Maintain and reconcile donor purpose restricted funding
  • Produce supplemental reports and analyses as needed
  • Assist in annual financial and program audits
  • Complete special assignments and any other projects as requested by the Finance department management team
  • Other duties as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred, Business Administration or related field and/or minimum of five years' experience in accounting and/or finance preferably with a non-profit organization.
  • Knowledge of Blackbaud Financial Edge is preferred.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to working with a diverse staff.
  • Valid California driver's license, clean driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
