ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.
The essential functions include:
- Conducts home-based and on-site individual, conjoint, group family therapy sessions under supervision of the clinical supervisor
- Documents therapy sessions based upon DMH regulations
- Attends training sessions and staff meetings with program/clinical supervisors
- Responsible for assessment, treatment and follow-up
- Is on-call to program families
- Directly implements program protocols and guarantees that procedures are consistent with protocols
- Is available to do a parenting group, or assigned group, on a rotation one evening a week
- Other duties as required
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES
- Master's Degree in a Social Service-related field
- Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and valid BBS number in good standing required
- Bilingual in Spanish required
- Previous experience working with severely and emotionally disturbed children and community mental health required
- Working knowledge of DMH programming and contract requirements is strongly preferred
- Experience working with underrepresented and diverse communities preferred
- Valid California driver's license, driving record, and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
