WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Essential Functions Include:
  • Facilitate and coordinate meetings with internal stakeholders to identify business needs, problem areas, and how these needs/areas impact processes.
  • Create and implement solutions using available software applications to address business needs
  • Generate and maintain documentation pertaining to developed information systems solutions
  • Collaborate with Data Manager, members of Data Services and other departments to ensure projects are successfully delivered
  • Supports data collection for metrics and measurement of programs and supports program performance dashboard reporting
  • Coordinate the development of information systems solutions that meet set specifications, which involves scheduling requirement gathering meetings; clearly communicating project expectations, timeline, and updates; and other pertinent tasks to ensure solutions are developed in a timeline manner.
  • Develop ad hoc reports using Structured Query Language (SQL), Excel, and/or cloud-based applications that meet specifications set by internal and/or external parties
  • Analyzes requirements and creates or contributes to functional designs and basic development
  • Support employees in learning how to use software applications by providing training, developing training materials, and guidance over email/phone
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise with developed information system solutions and software
  • Inspect reports, dashboards, and information system solutions to ensure no issues are present before implementing their use
  • Researches and synthesizes information regarding new software features and other information pertaining to the development of internal information system solutions
  • Organizes and analyzes qualitative and quantitative data and data relationships across the organization's business areas
  • Provide support in managing cloud-based applications, which may include Service Desk, WordPress, PowerApps, SharePoint, Power BI
  • Communicate via email, phone, and/or in-person with employees to address questions and/or concerns pertaining to workflows, data collection, and other pertinent information.
  • Provide input, such as ideas and recommendations, during meetings, i.e. department, program, and cross-functional teams
  • Works closely with Professional Development or related departments to develop training materials, train-the-trainers, develop train-the-trainer models, and provide ad hoc training
  • Create dashboards and reports, as requested, for internal users
  • Deliver projects and provide technical support within set deadlines/timeframes
  • Maintains confidentiality, privacy, and security requirements
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, community networks, or related conferences

ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Visit and support remote sites and users as needed
  • Produce technical documentation
  • Provide day-to-day support to data services team, external partners, and staff as required
  • Actively participate in county and industry work groups and annual conferences

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly work indoors in a variety of environments and locations
  • Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

  • Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology
  • Experience in SQL or a strong understanding of relational database structures
  • Experience leading out learning and/or small to medium sized group projects
  • Experience in workflow analysis and requirements gathering
  • Experience developing dashboards using a Business Intelligence tool (e.g. Power BI, iDashboards, Tableau)
  • Experience in gathering abstract information pertaining to business needs and developing information systems solutions that address those needs and function within business processes/workflows
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, or related spreadsheet application ability, which includes a strong understanding of lookup's, functions, nesting functions, and more complex methods
  • Experience using low code app development applications (preferably Power Apps) 
  • Strong understanding of basic PC and common software resolution strategies
  • Valid California Driver's License, driving record, and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
  • Nice to have, experience in or willingness to learn:
  • website wire-framing
  • Designing website information infrastructures
  • SharePoint Online administration settings and features
  • HTML and CSS
