Mental Health Rehab Specialist (641/501)

THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

The essential functions include:

  • Provide direct rehabilitative mental health services to Hillsides' Residential clients, including individual and group rehabilitative services, collateral services, crisis intervention, community activities, and/or services at other locations away from the Residential Facility
  • Coordination of services and case management, discharge planning, and case consultation with referral sources, school, allied agencies, and others
  • Maintain and complete all clinical and administrative record keeping associated with MHRS delivery of services Including meeting agency billing/productivity standards
  • Facilitate and document ILP activities/groups for each client
  • Provide direct, appropriate crisis intervention services to clients on campus and in the community Including, debriefing with clients following off campus Runaways and restraints, completing debriefing logs, contacting client's caregivers, and completing follow upincident reports which will document parent notification within a 24 hour period
  • Provide individual supervision for high risk clients who require temporary separation form the program for safety or other reasons
  • Maintain regular consultation with the team through weekly participation in TMT, Team meetings, CFT's, and group and individual supervision
  • Knowledgeable of prevailing governmental laws and regulations regarding the provision of mental health services, including confidentiality and limits thereof, the reporting of child abuse and neglect, and related regulations
  • Knowledgeable of and acts in accordance with Ethical and Professional standards as established by organizations outside of Hillsides
  • Attend and participate in program and Residential-wide meetings, including staff in-service, clinical conferences, trainings, and training retreats
  • Flexibility with schedule and able to work weekends and evenings to meet the needs of clients
  • Ability to drive for prolonged periods of time as needed
  • Other duties as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with SED children and/or other experience working with children in a related capacity
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Valid California drivers license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
