ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions include:

  •  Provide weekly individual therapy to clients
  •  Develop weekly group therapy session designed to meet the needs of the YMO population
  •  Provide crisis oriented treatment and support when needed
  •  Develop a schedule based on client needs that may include evenings and weekends
  •  Available on call 24/7 to clients in crisis
  •  Provide goal-oriented treatment
  •  Lead mental health trainings and meetings with youth and staff
  •  Arrange transition to community-based mental health resources during termination from YMO program
  •  Attend in-service training
  •  Attend weekly case consultation meeting with YMO staff
  •  Maintains and completes all clinical and administrative record-keeping in a timely manner
  •  Be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team approach
  •  Other duties as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and CERTIFICATES

  •  MSW/MFT
  •  Candidate must be registered and in good standing with the BBS
  •  Experience working with transitional-age youth
  •  Knowledge and experience in individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, independent living skills, social skills, and communication
  •  Knowledge of the specific issues facing youth emancipating from foster care
  •  Demonstrated ability to work with a culturally diverse clientele and staff
  •  Valid California drivers license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier

PQI STATEMENT
